Our annual family picture before the next birthday...this was our last day with our two year old little lady. She is growing up way too fast. The day before her birthday we went up to Lyons and spent some time with daddy while he worked. We always have a fun time doing that.

We opened presents, took her out to lunch, rode the carousel (her favorite), and got a treat at the candy shop downtown. Her party was planned for a few days later.
Party day! Two days before her party Madelynn threw up. The flu was really going around so we decided to postpone her party until the following week to really be sure that none of the rest of us were going to get it. We didn't want to invite all those sweet little girls to our house just two days after we had some sickness. But all of her sweet friends were able to come the next week and we had a wonderful Princess Sofia tea party.
I had so much fun preparing for this party. I have always dreamed of having a little girl to do this kind of stuff with. I am so thankful my Madelynn Grace is a girly girl and loves all things princess, pink, purple, glittery, and beautiful.
Carter had two friends over to keep him entertained during the party. We let them come out to eat but they played in his room the rest of the time.
