Let the Christmas Season Begin: 2014

The convention center downtown does a fun Christmas night with Santa, tree lighting, and a fire truck.  We went this year for the first time with our friends, the Breitensteins, and really enjoyed it.

Santa!

It rained as we were picking out our Christmas tree so I didn't get any pictures of the actual tree hunt.  But Carter got to help saw the bottom off the tree this year.  He felt like big stuff.

Our tradition is to open a new ornament (from us) and Christmas jammies the night that we decorate the tree.  This has been a fun tradition that I plan to keep forever.

New jammies.

Decorating the tree...

Going to see Santa

Madelynn handled it much better this year...no crying!

Right in the middle of all the fun Christmas activities and traditions...we found out we were having a baby boy.  We all guessed that but it was so special finding out for sure.  This picture was how we announced on Facebook.

Another Christmas activity out at a camp...

They had a live nativity.

Madelynn got a haircut with her first little braid.
