The Bradley family does a pretty good job at getting together and having family reunions most years. This year was no exception and we did it in Leavenworth, WA. We found a huge house right on the river. It was beautiful! It fit all of us very comfortably (which is hard to find) and had so much to do. We did go into town for a couple hours to shop and play golf but we were just content to stay at the house most of the time and enjoy the beauty. There were so many activities for the kids and we were right by the river and enjoyed playing in the water. I would love to do every family reunion at this place!
This was my favorite spot! This deck looked out right over the river below and it was beautiful. We spent a lot of time sitting there and talking. This trip was just a week or two after we said goodbye to Don which made for an emotional weekend. Aunt Lori, Brian and Kyle did end up coming but it was hard on them. It was hard to have a family event without Don. His presence was greatly missed and the loss was still so new and raw that the weekend was hard.
On our way home we found this crazy cool reptile museum. My mom sat in the car (not her thing) but the rest of us enjoyed looking at all the reptiles. And Jay and the kids even got to hold a bunch of snakes (not my thing).
I am thankful for family. I don't know a lot of extended families who still make it a priority to get together every year and spend a weekend together in one house. I think it's awesome and I pray it continues.
