Final time for both of them in their car seats. Madelynn was 15 months and Carter was three years and five months. It was finally time to move Madelynn out of the infant car seat. She wasn't even close to the weight limit of 22 pounds and still isn't at 16 1/2 months but she was starting to get a little long for it. She only weighed 16 pounds when we switched her out. We decided to move Madelynn into Carter's car seat and get Carter a brand new seat that would be a five point harness style for right now, then a booster with a back, and then eventually a booster with no back.
She was done taking pictures! Enough is enough, mom!
Oh, his smile melts me! Carter's last time in his car seat. He was passing it down to his sister.
Carter's new car seat! He was so excited! It sits up more then his other one and it has two cup holders. The cup holders are probably his favorite part. He still talks about that today.
Madelynn checking out her new car seat. We won't switch her to front facing until she turns two. She is so small that we might even wait longer. Who knows. I am really looking forward to her facing front though! Carter loved it when we finally switched him. We switched him at 18 months but he was a lot bigger than his sister. And technically they recommend until two now anyway.
She seems to like it too!
Love my silly girl!
My kids are growing up way too fast! I can't believe Madelynn is almost 17 months already! And I haven't even written her 16 month blog yet. Aghhh! I'm getting behind. I blame my Master's program!
