Random Fun

This is what I found when I went to let Carter get up from "quiet time."  Hat, tie, and one glove.

She has discovered the fridge!

This is for Tom, Peggy, Carrie, and Craig...She finally fits into her John Deere shirt!

Madelynn had a couple day fever awhile back which had her pretty down and out for those days.  This was only about an hour after she got up from a nap and she fell asleep on Jay.  She was standing up on the couch looking out the window next to him while he played games on the Kindle.  She just laid down on him and fell right to sleep.  For those of you who know my daughter...you know she was REALLY sick if she fell asleep on someone!  She NEVER does this.  EVER!  I was a little jealous actually!  Wish it had been me :)

Springtime is here!  Time to work in the yard and I have a great little three year old helper.

And a really cute little one year old observer.

First mac and cheese...it is a milestone!
Oh, and she loved it!

Another milestone...
First time standing up in her crib (this was after her first birthday).  Yes, she is a little slower in this area.  But that is sooooo okay with me!  Carter was standing in his crib at eight months old.  But it was annoying because we were always having to go back in to lay him down.  It's been nice that we haven't had to worry about that with her.  And she actually hasn't stood up again (that we know of) since this picture.

The kids helped daddy built a bookshelf for Madelynn's bedroom.  Carter was such a great helper and had to wear his hardhat to do it.  So cute!

And of course, Madelynn had to be right in the middle of the action.

Madelynn had some birthday money to spend so we got her the bookshelf and this doll house.  Daddy and the kids were trying out the new doll house.

She likes her new toy!

One of her favorite things to do...
Empty out her laundry basket and play with all the clothes.  She tries to put them all on her head or around her neck.  She is a girl after my own heart!  I took a great video of her doing this and will attempt to put it on here soon.  She loves clothes!

Cannon Beach

A few weeks back we headed over to Cannon Beach with my grandparents and my mom.
My grandma was meeting a friend of hers there for lunch and we all tagged along.  It was a fun day but quite a bit of driving for a short amount of time there.  We had an event at church that evening so we didn't have a ton of time to be at the coast.  It was still fun though and the kids had a great time.

Carter was throwing coins into the fountain and got a big kick out of that.

This girl can be entertained forever if I just give her my purse.  She takes everything out and has a good old time.  This is how we kept her happy while everyone chatted at lunch.

On our way home we went through Tillamook and went to the cheese factory.  This was the best part for Carter.  He loved the factory!  And the ice cream too of course.

I love taking my kids out to enjoy new adventures together!
